fuck jrpgs, give me another musou game but with a Koei budget instead of a Bandai one. Huge branching storylines that follow each rider's own stories, character models that are only 5 years behind the times instead of 15, fun little interactions between characters (eg. Amazon arriving to Fourze's aid would prompt a short convo about FRIENDSHIP, Riders with similar gimmicks would comment on that and so on), interchangeable or at least customisable weaponry, DLC joke outfits, all of that nonsense.
Alternatively, something along the lines of GTA/Saints Row etc. where you make your own rider and have to choose to go fight the monster without being forced to do anything would be fun. You could just pull a Kouta at the start of Gaim and try to do normal everyday shit in your armour.

The first fourteen episodes are fucking weird, but even then it's more "hilariously bad" rather than "BAD bad". Once Tachibana stops being a shit the show finds its footing, and only gets better when the writer change happens around episode 30. It's one of my favorite Rider series.

About the only thing I knew of toku in general was Power Rangers so it was a fun ride getting into Rider, and then later Ultraman and Garo. Funnily enough I haven't really wanted to get into Sentai even though I fucking loved Power Rangers as a little kid.

It does a REALLY good job of tying together character and plot development by the end of the show, but you gotta be willing to work through the silly acting at first.
Pretty much what drives a lot of the early arcs is figuring out what the fuck Hajime's deal is and waiting for Tachibana to stop being an idiot and get his shit together. When both of those parts pay off is where the show starts getting better.
