Speaking generally, and maybe I'm just biased, but Fafner does a really excellent job of managing it's scenes. In any given minute there are a ton of things either being referenced, being set up, or just "happening"

Pixiv is producing a steady output of homo. It's not as much as shows like A/Z got, but it's a solid amount. I haven't been following Twitter. To the fujo eye, Exodus hasn't really turned down the gay. It's just replaced DA's drama about Soushi and Kazuki figuring out how to relate to each other with Exodus's maximum cozy of Soushi and Kazuki being an old married couple.
Incidentally, one trend I've noticed lately is to draw Soushi with both Orihime and Tsubaki, like they're his twin little sisters.

I think the Sein theme fits the old OST more, while Nicht fits the direction of the new OST. I like both. DA's music sounded more melodic and personal, while Exodus's music makes the fights come alive and feel dangerous and threatening. Both are great.

A thing I noticed about how much Sein grew in power with the limiters removed.

But seriously, how many franchises that started after year 2000 can compete with Fafner? I can't really think of any that have so many consistently good installments and no bad ones. I went in expecting a mediocre and run-of-the mill but fun series and got into a solid multi-part franchise instead. Can't wait for the next episode.
