Seriously, the biggest hurdle to improving your speech skills is that often other people will become insecure about their own speech patterns and attempt to silence or dumb you down.
This is a huge problem in schools, but unsurprisingly also appears in colleges and workplaces.

I usually just tell people I say certain words cause they are fun to use. People don't usually care if you're just trying to be funny. Of course you should always choose your words for your company. With black people I almost exclusively talk about weed.
