>Force yourself to read

Allow yourself to take a break. I find it's a lot easier when you don't have a voice inside of you telling you you need to be doing something right now.
Perhaps try rereading a favorite you haven't read in a while, it should be easier to get through.

Get into poetry. Read and write.

Seems legit. Just can't force yourself to read sometimes if you're disinterested, you won't retain it or get into the sublime meanings.

>vary your book choice
I've been reading Snow Crash on my phone for like a year because I only read it when I occasionally have to use public transit. So I have to usually skip back a couple pages and re-read to remember where I was.
I just read The Long Walk (370pages) cover to cover today because I just couldn't put it down.
>read nonfiction
I usually read about 30-50 pages of something before I go to bed, tho not every night. Just finishing William Craig's Enemy At The Gates. Not even sure it's strictly non-fiction, as although the book is thoroughly researched, there is just some dialogue and events which don't ring totally true or he could not possibly have known about.
