Why is reading real books so much more comfortable than reading e-books?

This feels awful. I'd rather have my paper absorb light than emitting it.
The smell of old books takes me back to my high school where I'd spend all my mornings reading in the empty hallways and at the library during lunch break and after school reading as much as I could before they closed
