>dude sex lmao
Baffling...
In the Japanese translation, is Big Brother called Onii-chan?
>>8183140
Probably onii-san, how it's actually said by everyone who actually speaks north korean
>>8183140
Don't know
Does matters?
>>8183164
That's still kind of hilarious.

>>8183140
nope, literally ビッグ ブラザー (biggu buraza)
>>8183140
Just checked and was dissapointed
「ビッグ・ブラザーは見ている
bigu burazaaa wa miteiru
Big brother is watching you
>>8183197
Aw.

>biggu buraza

Japanese words have to have each syllable end with a vowel or their n/m/ng sound. This results in loan words that sound ridiculous to people who natively speak the language its loned from
>>8183247
But why couldn't it just have been onii-san? Or some other term similar to it?
Strictly inferior to /We/
2+2/5
It's a pretty great book that is widely disliked hear due to how entry level it is. Homage to Catalonia is Orwell's best books though.

4.5/5
The other 0.5 is due to the unidimentional characters.
It's brilliant, but very little can be said about that hasn't been already.
Such a spookily Orwellian novella.
Incredible that Orwell was able to almost perfectly present these modern, politically correct times.
Characters were made of paper. Other than that, stellar ideas make it top-notch.
