I don't know how someone could read waiting in line. What if you get so engrossed in what you're reading you forget to move forward in line? That would be awful. Waiting at a supercuts or for a bus, that's a good time to read.
I always keep a copy of Marcus Aurelius Meditations in my rucksack, if I'm having a bad day at work or feel grim in the morning I'll read it whilst waiting for my bus.

OP to answer your question, no. I have to get settled in. If I go to the doctor's office or something I'll sit there for about ten minutes before cracking my book open. I won't read unless I have at least half an hour to devote to it.
