I stopped about halfway through, you almost got me.
i LOVED this book and was actually going to ask if you guys have any recommendations for things similar to this? i've looked at some other atwood books but they sound lackluster in comparison to this one and so i haven't settled on anything yet

Also this one. That ending was terrible.
This is indeed an awful book. The movie was at least watchable because you don't have to sit through a middle class white woman's thinly fictionalized persecutory delusions for as long. To top it off, Gilead actually in many ways seems like a much better way to run a society than what we have today.
