What do you guys think about heavy endnote-usage in novels? I'm writing one right now, and I feel like (am) copying DFW, but I also *really* like how it comes out. Thoughts on this?

Not him, but Nicholson Baker does it a lot in the Mezzanine. Not comparable in size to IJ though

Read the Nightlessons chapter of Finnegans Wake, if you want to see some real note-fuckery. DFW had nothing on that.
