I just like to look at them, even if I never intend to read what is listed it tells me a bit about the books an author has written and someone's opinion on them. Also, having a starting point and order put out helps my fear of making a mistake about anything and frees me from the responsibility of having to make a choice that could possibly be the wrong one.
