OP here. So the copy is actually in a "special collections" part of the library. I'm not sure what this means and whether or not I will be actually able to take the book. I'm also not a student so I'm sure they're gonna ask for a student ID.

Special collections requires a college ID. At my school it also requires an online account. Without these, you won't even see the book. You are not allowed to go up and down the shelves of sp. col. If you do, security will be called long before you find the book, and you'll be escorted out like the trash you are.

OP here. I fucked up. I got into the library fine and was able to locate the "special collections" section. As i suspected, it was located behind a counter with a worker (mid 40s fat woman, of fucking course) in charge of handling the books. I told her i was looking for a book called Women and Men. Immediately she asked for my student ID. I pretended to look for it in my backpack and said "shoot, seems i forgot it. Can i still just take a look at it. I just need to check the edition. I'll stay right here at the counter." She hesitated at first but said that it was ok and went to the shelves in the back and brought with her the three inch mammoth Women and Men. My heart started pounding, blood started flowing more rapidly to my penis. She set the book down at the counter. I kept my eyes down and studied the book. As i finally touched the glorious dust jacket i couldnt resist. I quickly picked up the book and started running away. Immediately 3 obese black women in mall cop uniforms came out of nowhere flying through the air headfirst right at me. My 120 pound frame couldnt support the gorillaesque mass crashing down on me and i had no choice but to lay face down while being subdued. The lady behind the counter then gave me a grin and said, "Never underestimate Women. And Men are pathetic"
