Is this a good edition? Saw it jn a local bookshop for pretty cheap. Also are the Collins Classics range good quality in general?
generally below penguin but above wordsworth imo

What makes the difference? Just general quality of paper etc?

Sounds like it's worth the $5 or whatever it was in the store, I personally don't have anything against wordsworth desu. Might get it later
I have that edition. It's a bit annoying in its dimensions but I needed a physical copy of Pope's translation so bought one.
If you like classic poetry, get that version. A more modern one otherwise.

I've heard Pope's translation is the best. I've not really read any poetry, which is a more modern translation that you'd recommend?

You can just download different types of translations, read the first few pages then decide for yourself which one you like best.
Fagles is typically known as being the most accessible. I am personally reading Fitzgerald which is nice but written in a totally different way. You cant really go wrong with Fagles though.

The bookstore has Fagles in a pretty nice edition, thanks for the advice.
