Of course it is, its something that seems really easy on the surface. Should I just start emailing samples to different companies? What would be a good way to go about it. Also I'm tapping into that hipster/social justice market so that might get more attention.

It's pretty hard. I had an idea about a children's book that was supposed to turn kids into vegetarians, but publishers weren't interested at all. There was supposed to be meat in little compartments between the pages that kid readers would think were delicious treats, and in the end they were supposed to be horrified that they've been eating the cute animal main characters' family members. I tried to get my niece to read it but the meat inside was rotten a little and she complained the book smelled bad. The little shit didn't even finish it.
