In GR there are a few phrases and words that Pynchon used quite a few times and every time I read them it was a bit jarring remembering that last time I picked them out. Off the top of my head x days/weeks growth (w/r/t facial hair), Wargnerian, and stretches his/her legs. Did anyone else pick up on this?

yes and it carries over to all his older books
he uses the word 'nacreous' in i think every book he ever wrote, and i cant even find a suitable definition for it, kindle dictionary gives me 'mother of pearl'
