No, Crowley did.
>>
>Implying Kierkegaard hadn't already finished it

wew lad
>>
You could say that, Hegel figured it out and Nietzsche taught that the final step was the individual overcoming it all
>>
>implying philosophy ends

wew, lad, if you want an ossified set of dogmatic beliefs try religion, the point of philosophy is to engage, philosophy is life itself
>>
Wittgenstein finished Epistemology
Harris and Molyneux finished ethics
Freddy finished the rest
>>
>>7851666
If that were true, Socrates would have already finished it long before.
>>
hahaha

Nietzsche began philosophy

THE AGE OF THINKERS IS COME

What was Nietzsche's thoughts on the Greeks? If I asked him the 3 essential works from Plato and 3 from Aristotle, what would he give me?
>>
>>7852288
read the Birth of Tragedy

he was kind of upset that Socrates went all Logical
>>
>>7852288

He saw Platonism as a beautiful sandcastle; impressive to look at but no foundation beyond its creators own psychology.

He didn't refer to Aristotle much, although both are virtue theorists of a kind.

Nietzsche essentially misunderstood Greek heroic societies in that he projected onto them his own ideas of individualism without fully understanding the importance of the polis or City when it came to arriving at virtues

Nietzsche: Jesus, I'm so fucking amazing. Shit, what if some asshole tries to make me holy and shit and distorts my philosophy like Paul did to Jesus? I'm going to write this edgy and stupid book called Ecce Homo so people will know I'm just a guy (a fucking amazing guy though desu) and shouldn't be worshiped

Crowley, 20 years later: hueheueheue, let's pray to St. Nietzsche in our gnostic mass!

>>7851749
>Molyneux and Harris

lmao go fuck yourself

>>7851766
Nah, he just took the last radical step to escape the cave that Plato stuck us in, to admit that the Sophists were generally right in their outlook and that Plato was a clever trickster with good intentions who led the thinkers of the west on a 2,000 year long wild goosechase.

Read Birth of Tragedy, Philosophy in the Tragic Age of the Greeks, and Twilight of the Idols. Then you will know.

But in summary, he thought that the Presocratics were the shit, and Plato fucked it all up for thousands of years to come.

Was Nietzsche a Romanticist?

>ywn meet the absolute madman who wrote this

Homeric heroes were heroic because they fulfilled their duties and acted as one in their position should act. The Greek notion of virtue and aristocracy was tied up with what was good for the city. This is evident later on in Aristotle. Nietzsche was far off the mark likening this to "just create your own values XD"

There's a good exposition of this in MacIntyre's After Virtue
