Good taste, op. it's nice to see this board branching out from postmodern social novels

Cheever, to be sure. But also Hemingway. Joyce, Beckett, and Donald Barthelme also influenced her greatly.

I read some of her New Yorker stories. They were just bored young dumb weed smoking, quirky NYers doing nothing or doing it without any motivation. I don't remember reading any stories about winter but she's a horrible writer so I'd imagine it'd be bad.
