Just finished reading pic related, and I absolutely loved it.
What are some similar books to Siddhartha; focusing on themes of lifelong journeys, and the quest for a ziel of life?
The Magic Mountain is good for that. Most bildungsroman is similar.

The alchemist was an easy page-turner but the writing was some of the worst I've ever read. And the ending was garbage.
That being said the book was so positive that I certainly don't regret reading it.

I read Siddartha and The Last Temptation of Christ back to back and enjoyed both very much. The pairing was unintentional but worked very well, so that's my rec.
