Ya.... artists have always used fractal structures. It's what happens why you use an idea to structure something (e.g. a dramatic arc) and then keep on applying that structure at hierarchically layered levels (e.g. an act will have a dramatic arc, so will a scene, so will a dramatic beat). This isn't surprising to anyone.
