You are a lazy fag. It doesn't seem to be uploaded anywhere save for a few illustrations. And yeah it's the same as the original.

http://isangkutsarangmoe.deviantart.com/ (person who did the illustrations)
http://alicebigandsmall.blogspot.cl/2014/08/alices-adventures-in-wonderland-and.html (some of the illustrations, apparently there are over a hundred)

> the 99% of all things are bad sense
That is probably accurate actually. There are around 10,000 anime, and I'd say there are maybe around 100 or so that are genuinely good and worth your time (there are actually a surprising number of hidden gems that are seldom talked about). But yes, the bulk of it is utter garbage.
>>
>>7770675
>copying a Japanese style
Info on this?
>>
>>7773963
when you begin to read literature it effectively makes you an elitist and raises the 99% parameter to 99.99%
>>
>>7774076
I understand. But I still don't believe that the kinds of anime he would have watched as a teen would have necessary covered much of what I hold to be good.

Shoujo is kind of an extreme subset of this, in that the bulk of it is much worse and more obviously bad than most, but the best examples of it shine out above the rest of Japanese pop culture while not necessarily being as as accessible as you'd expect.
>>
>>7767245
any light novel out there
>>
>>7773963
I wouldn't go as high as 100. 50 would be my max, and many of them I'm not sure I'd even consider anime (not as an elitist kind of thing, but because they don't have any of the formal or stylistic elements unique to/associated with anime; they are simply animations from Japan). I know who all of the masters of Japanese animation are.

>>7774076
Doesn't mean you can't still enjoy stupid stuff. There are a few shounens and seinens I've been following for 12 years by now, and I'm not gonna stop until they end.

>>7774099
Stuff like Rose of Versailles and Utena are mediocre junk btw, but pretty much every other TV anime is even worse, with maybe five or so exceptions. All of the best anime are films.
>>
>>7774532
Utena is something I used to only, but now that I've actually tried to go through and understand, in Japanese, the poetry that acts as a chorus during the duels I can see that Utena is actually a very high level work that is actually just naturally horrifically inaccessible to the vast majority of people, and especially to non-native speakers. This is not to say that it does not suffer from marked redundancy and the constraints of its commercial nature, but there really is a lot of poetically and thematically coherent and carefully constructed shit there that will not at all be apparent if you don't have the capacity to understand it and aren't carefully both combing through it and allowing yourself to take it in. The is not the 'low' symbolism where things exist just to stand in for other ideas (though it does have elements inserted just to deliberately fuck with people who think like that), but proper 'high' poetic metaphor dealing with the otherwise imperceptible.

It is easily the most dense and difficult to understand anime that is legitimately 2deep4u.

I've also tried watching Rose of Versailles and I trust you on that one. I haven’t seen much of it, but I'm not counting it as one of the greats.

>All of the best anime are films.
A few years ago I would have agreed with you, and it's definitely true that anime films are vastly more likely to be good than anime series, but I definitely feel not that the very best series are at least as good as the best films.
>>
>>7774871
>Utena is something I used to only
I mean to say "Utena is something I used to only think of as an overly pretentious, but watch-able, outburst of a failed Sailor Moon plot".
>>
>>7774871
>but I definitely feel not that
"but I definitely feel now that"

Sorry, I'm in a rush.
>>
>>7767367
They were planing to do Wizard of Oz, I think.
>>
>>7774871
Don't care how much thought was put into it. It's still ugly and cheaply made, the material is stupid (even on a subtextual level very pedestrian), and it's not particularly moving. In the grand scheme of things it's mediocre.
>>
>>7775342
>It's still ugly and cheaply made
I don't disagree, the cheapness is an issue that hold it back from being as god at it could be.

>even on a subtextual level very pedestrian
In what way? It deals with the least 'pedestrian' subject imaginable and in a fairly sophisticated way. Like I said before, I seriously doubt that you understood the poetic choral elements of the duels, which is one of the most important keys to actually comprehending its aesthetic content and purpose. If you could, I have no doubt that you'd find it much more moving. Like I said, I didn't really understand it the first time I watched it.
