>Your essays will never be as good as the ones by Michel De Montaigne
I´m feeling kinda feely tonight, so please post your /lit/ feels.
he's only one of the greatest essayists in history so you should probably aim a little lower
montaigne's essays are pretty horrible classical quote + gossip-tier shit

Yeah, but it still hurts, you know.
Also:
>You will never read Harry Potter and Tintenherz again for the first time
>You can´t read every book in the world
>You speak neither french nor russian nor italian nor that much spanish, so you have to read every classic translated
Feels really bad, man.

How does it feel to be so utterly, completely wrong?
If you're decent you could become better if you devoted your entire life to it.
But that's probably impossible to do unless you're set financially.
If it's any consolation, no one would read them even if they were good

I feel real envy when I read Orwell's essays. His writing style is so clear and articulate that it's beautiful.
