I would probably frame it as the reality being that the men are almost always the ones making the decisions on behalf of the women, who then take all the credit for it. And in turn, because men are considered something like slaves, any blame for their mistakes is put on their owners, their women, instead of them, allowing them to just focus on doing work and getting "raped" with no actual responsibilities.

No worries, there's no way to tell if this book will be good or not if people don't make some effort to help. Even the best authors often needed a guiding hand, especially when talking about political topics.
But yeah, the main piece of advice I can give so far is to keep it all very subtle. Look into how actual dictatorships, and cultures explicitly ruled by one gender work, and try to base it off that, not how you think it could work. And never directly refer to any political group that exists today as anything more than a boogieman, stories told to scare kids into believing that how it is now is the only way to protect against the evil, old group.
And whatever you do, don't make there be a happy ending. Happy endings just fucking ruin any sort of dystopian setting, defeats the whole point.

I don't hate women and feminism like OP does, but for a novel I'm writing I want to explore the possibility of fascism arising from alternative societies. In this case, a region in space was once composed of a matriarchal society of colonists, but after being integrated into a larger galactic government were exposed to egalitarian ideals. In the novel I've been working on there is something similar within my world. There is a massive conflict going on between a large christian territory and the feminist republic. The feminists are the underdogs and the christian empire is something our protagonists despise, so they ally themselves with her, but the extent of support varies heavily and is debated.
The feminists have done alot of good things like having strong genuine equality, lifting thousands and thousands of people out of the ruins of the us and into societies as well as contributing to technological development. They also worked to secure the south from a single force dominating it.
There is no real democracy. Men and Women alike are subject to the will of the state. Andrea (the dictator) uses very brutal tactics to wage war. Dissent is regularly silenced, and to sustain the war economic efficiency is looked at more than humanity
