So, did Williams capture the genuine nature DFW could only hope to reach?

Binary sunset is the greatest leitmotif of all time. Thank god he stopped writing boring misogynistic power fantasies.

I have a bit of an issue with this novel. What was up with Edith and her illness, Or anything about her really? I found that all characters in the novel were relate-able to an extent, or at least had some kind of explanation for how they acted, but I didn't notice any real reason for why Edith acted the way she did, aside from perhaps her childhood. I must be missing something, can someone hep me understand Edith?
i'm currently reading WH, and i got reminded of stoner when Hindley's kid is stuck with Heathcliff after he dies.
But in stoner i would have felt feels, and in WH i found it hard to give a shit, pretty interesting i thought.
