I haven't been on /lit/ for a while, why do we hate Joyce now?

Do we?
I like him but his humor is too vulgar for my tastes and some times he goes a little too far with his experiments.

We don't, and anyone that does has weapons-grade autism.
NO DISCERNIBLE TALENT
Ulysses is a fucking mess. We get it dude... That's what thoughts would look like on paper... If you have an equal or higher IQ as Joyce it's all just meh.
I hate him because I can't fucking read Ulysses. I love his sense of humor but this guy is an asshole.
>I made my works hard to read... as a joke
I'll finish it one day.
Do I have autism?
None of my thoughts are anything like how Faulkner and Joyce portrayed them.
Almost all of them are completely organized.

yeah you have autism
or yr just bad at remembering/analyzing your thoughts. Obviously their works are fiction and, while Joyce/Woolf/etc try their best to replicate real thought, you can only do so much with writing
>Mfw reading this book while on adderal

joyce's style is probably the poorest imitation of consciousness. it's pretty bad. faulkner doesn't even try, he's absolute shit.
proust had the closest and best method of looking at how the mind (which is memory) works.

>equal or higher IQ
>buys Apple shit
yeah, no
It's just an influx of newfages from all the other boards that don't understand literature, 4chan is dying

Learning argument from the internet? You could be reading Cicero on an iPad... Have fun not having your balls tickled while being sponge-bathed with pussy. :^)

There was a post a week ago asking why Joyce isn't a hack, everyone to dumb to realize it was bait wasn't smart enough to answer the question.
Since then there has been a small influx of anti-joyce posts, it will abate in time as the pleb-calling returns /lit/ to it's usual homeostasis.
