hadn't read the Yeats' poem. his playful side comes through sometimes, The Story of Wandering Aengus, Wild Swans at Coole and of course Lake Isle of Innisfree, but this is great.

i love story of wandering aengus too. i'm slowly working my way though his complete works -- another one that struck me nearly dead was 'on human dignity' -- have you read it? i dont know what about it hits me so hard, but it was on the first page i flipped to and all of a sudden i understood why poetry is so exalted. then i turned to page one.
what other poets are you fond of? my poetry game is super weak. i know some shelley, keats, eliot, and blake, but that's about all. recommendations?
