Anyone have that one /fit/ recommended reading chart? Much appreciated.
Requesting Pynchon chart.
>>7638866
Just get on /fit/ and read, fitness books are a waste of time
>>7638874
It wasn't a chart of fitness books, but a chart of books deemed /fit/worthy by the board itself.
>>7638886
no it was a completely different list.
>>7638884
Why would you even want to read that?
>>7638894
because i want validation from others.
Don't see anything specifically Catholic lit around, could someone perhaps work on that? I also want to see the 11 philosophy charts again for my own study interests.

Oy vey my sides! Shut it down since we've got another shoah here! Didn't know the alt right shitposted on lit now but I'm glad.
>>7638760
No Xenophon? I am disappointed. Especially since there's Thucydides up there. They are extremely interconnected since Xenophon concludes what Thucydides starts. Extremely easy to get into if anyone is into learning Greek. Anabasus, actually should be the first book up there. Easy to get into, fun to read, and "The Favourite book of Alexander the Great."
Also, description at History of Herodotus is a bit far fetched. He was the biggest liar alive.
>>7640958
You shut the fuck up about Herodotus
But yeah I agree with Xenophon, Hellennika would be a good finish to the Peloponnesian War.
>>7639262
Gah, this one is even worse! Someone didn't know his shit...
Herodus = Father of Lies, has practically no value for modern historians.
Tucidides = Father of History. Prototypical historian. His norms, neutrality and values used in writing The History of Pheloponesian Wars are the basis for every historian after him. His work is still the main written source of the period.
>>7640999
>his work is still the main source of the period
No shit?
>Gah
>[Herodotus] has practically no value for modern historians
Aside from being the main source of the period?
>His neutrality
Yeah he was very impartial towards Cleon
7/10 lad
how about Iranian literature? do we have something on that?
>>7641034
Seriously dude you know shit. Herodotus simply isn't used in modern work, and when an author uses him anyway he always puts it through a huge disclaimer about his reasons of using him. Tucidides, compared is gold material. Few number are all that anyone has to say against him. Even his writing about Cleon that you read from wikipedia is mildly put, mild compared to Aristophanes. You'd see that if you actually read any of the works in discussion. Beside, Cleon indeed was a dick. It was him that put through a complete slaughter of Mytilene.
>>7641035
Too busy making nukes and terrorism.
>>7641097
He was an effective leader, Thucydides was just sulking because Cleon exiled him for messing up in Chaldiki.
And no shit Aristophanes was harsher than Thucydides, he was a comic poet.
And stop projecting, it's shitposters like you who make this board shit. There's no need to try an 1 up people on here, nobody cares who you are.
And next time you want to appear erudite with your chosen names, call Thucydides "Thoukudídēs" or something.
Anyone got the neon pill one?
Lol pill boys need not apply. The philosophy one is good. I remember in a previous thread someone made a request for a chart on general Asian lit plus individual other ones for specific countries and authors.

Like, I get what they're trying to imply with all the rest of their choices under Episode VII. I guess I down't get how that show is supposed to be "propagating the Jewish conspiracy"

still better than those 5 translated novels on that list. Heinlein and Clarke at least are in English
>>7642055
Thanks religious family. I'm thoroughly agnostic but am interested in looking into Catholicism and its conversation with literature as I've looked into studying authors such as Endo and Greene further.
