Any good Romanian authors? I checked the sticky but found nothing. I've already read all of Cioran's work.

There's a Balkan thread you can check. There is some talk about Romanian authors in there.
Try Mircea Eliade or Eugen Ionesco.

I'd say he's the best Romanian writer (despite the fact that he resented the whole country).
Besides what others have recommended, try Marin Sorescu.
But they are not really 'international' or 'universal' writers per se. Unless you're born in Romania, I don't really see them to be very appealing.
