love plato but I usually find secondary literature on him usually disgusting, especially if in english, especially if written after the fifties (and it gets worst as time passes, articles in the 2000s are unreadable).
Just wanted to aimlessly complain about this and see if someone else feels the same.

Eh, you have to look more broadly at the different schools of thought to find good stuff. Vlastos and his school I find mind-numbing, but there's been a lot of great stuff *especially* in the last fifty years. As far as more modern stuff, I agree that a lot is basically trash, but the articles that appear in the political philosophy journal Interpretation are often still good and engaging.
What examples of secondary lit do you have in mind, both good and bad?
