If a proper phd philosopher, or at least masters in the field of philosophy were a youtuber maybe they could give nice insight into analysis and critique of a book in ways that the common reader wouldn't (maybe).
Most booktubers are just YA dumbasses who graduated from harry potter.
The few that miiiiiiiiight go into classics and modern classics usually do it only because of some hype around blogs or forums, so they do it to appear intellectual to their otherwise dumbass fanbase.
Most people checking booktubers don't do it out of literary interest, but rather as a distraction, just to hear some person they find admirable or sexually appealing talk for a bit and be funny or quirky.
It's the same as watching any other youtuber, be it those who eat food, those who review mundane shit, or whatever.

The only people I give any credit to regarding literature are those who actually read, read a lot and thus achieve a certain level of extensive knowledge, which isn't the case of any “booktuber” in its 20's. So far she's the only female booktuber with legit "patrician" taste (amazing how easy that is to achieve with a no-YA rule) as well as lifestyle—library hauls, anxiety medication, likes to keep to herself—but her comments and reactions are extremely shallow and pleb. This pattern carries over into other media, though her taste in music suffers especially.
As much as I want to like her, this is a clear example of how much having a proper education actually benefits you. It's hard to get anything of substance out of her videos other than a cute face.
