So a setting that I really like is private school.
I know of Tom Brown obviously, and Guillous; Evil. Beyond that I've read that this genre/setting became really saturated by the mid 20th century. So any good preppy school books? East coast stuff maybe? I would really want to see something from Germany or France.

I had to read "A Separate Peace" by John Knowles when I was 15. I don't remember liking it a whole lot, but its backdrop is a private school, and the book is considered to be a classic.
