>tfw next few days i'm gonna be getting fucked out of my mind on cheap whiskey and doing nothing but smoking, reading out loud alone until i pass out and rinse and repeat until we're well into the new year
usually i drink whiskey for two days straight, pass out for a day then repeat... it works like a charm and is probably the best way to ensure you are severely fucked up desu.
don't know about you but at this time of year i tend to almost hibernate until after the new year. everyone is full of joy for no reason at all and i can't stand it
what are your plans for the next couple of weeks /lit/?

I gave up drink a few months back.
I've regretted it every day since.
This time of year is miserable. The only thing I want for Christmas is bourbon. Instead I'll just get several hours of tense conversation and forced laughter with friends and family.
I'm terrified of looking like a bitch. Only reason I haven't sunk back into a drunken haze yet. Might take a vacation next week just so I can get away from anyone with even the smallest level of interest in me.
When I close my eyes and pretend to sleep I see myself in a cheap, musky motel room. The kind with floral-print comforters on their beds and a television as old as I am. I'm listening to a playlist made exclusively of Liszt and Death Grips to drown out the white noise of yelling addicts and sex from the neighboring rooms. I'm lining up empty bottles in a neat row, ordered by how long ago I finished them. Writing shitty poetry on a pad of index paper, laughing at the way the words weave in and out of the lines. Like a record of the fight between my drunkenness and my focus.
I need to go to work.
