I am deeply in love for the first time in my life. What is some relevant /lit/-approved literature?
It's okay, anon. You'll get through it.
she'll just let you down

Love by Stendhal
It's a nice feeling OP. Does she reciprocate?
>>7496849
Don't read about it, don't conceptualise it. When you analyse something you destroy it.
Just enjoy it and stay away from literature for a while, which is mostly written by bitter depressed cynical people.
>>7496863
Yes, it is reciprocated, very deeply. We have had very long conversations about it, and everything has been progressing very quickly, but it is mutual and intense and passionate, so much so that it is as though the entirety of my life before I methimwas spent wandering, aimless and lost, through a thick, choking fog.
I've been in a internet relationship for several years. Help me.

Anon, there is no romantic gay literature.
>>7496893
But I didn't ask for romantic gay literature.

Okay. I think I see more or less what direction this relationship could go to, considering I am currently in a relationship that started off in a very similar fashion. We're still completely in love with each other, but there are tons of little things that can degrade your relationship. (Forgive me for spewing out the same comments that have surely been said to you dozens of time before—I couldn't resist.) For one: no matter how much you love someone, don't pretend they're faultless and don't neglect to tell them when they do mean, disrespectful things. Tell them politely, but seriously. Let them know you still love them despite whatever they did that annoyed you. Make sure there is always good communication between you two, especially when the hazy mist of infatuation beings to wear off. Communication is one of the most important things in a relationship. Never let it break down.
Now, as for literature that deals with love—not sure why, but Stoner definitely hit the mark for what being in love felt like for me. Hopefully it hits the mark for you too! That feeling of almost wanting to be one with another person, completely inseparable, was very familiar.

Not that Anon, but I was also about to rec Stoner. Great advice by the way, OP should heed it.
I've always found that reading about futile delusions of love helps me to appreciate love for what it actually is. Not sure why, but El Tunel by Sábato always comes to mind. It's oddly comforting to read a man deluding himself into love once you've experienced the real thing. It's the same sensation one gets when reading of a helpless struggle against death and being able to put the book down, garnering a greater appreciation for living.
>>7496899
One of you would have to pretend to be the girl then. Anna Karenina or Wuthering Heights. They don't end well though Anon... probably like your relationship though.

Proust, absolutely.
