Of his creations, Satan was God's favorite in the beginning and Satan was in love with God completely. When God created humanity, God said that humanity was superior to the angels, his first and favorite creation being Satan. The angels were now to love and serve not only God but now humanity as well. Satan could not bring himself to love humanity because Satan loved God alone. God then says "Get out of my sight". What sustains Satan in hell are these last words uttered by God. Satan is the great lover of God and endures the torment of the deepest hell for his love.
