ITT: Comfy Christmas Recommendations
Want something to read as my primary book this Christmas break, so looking for some ideas.
Have fond memories of first reading Catcher in the Rye around Christmas some time ago, Herzog too, and would like to replicate the comfy satisfaction.
Thought about Christmas Carol but felt stereotypical.
Any suggestions?Bonus points for Christmas setting

Done part one of the meme trilogy (Ulysses..) and only read Crying Lot and Inherent Vice from Pynchy. How does it compare?
Also how is it Christmas-comfort-tier

it's his best book, and it's cozy as fuck
and the frame narrative is set at christmas and the whole thing has the tone of a shaggy dog dale told around a roaring fire at christmastime

is this pretty good and maybe just a tad overrated? i don't browse /lit/ at all and am wondering if this is a "meme" response like so many other recommendations that plague other boards because i went ahead and googled it and it actually sounds pretty interesting
