ever stumbled upon old stories you written when you were younger that now made you cringe?
I found a paper I wrote with a story about a girl who killed herself after getting engaged. Her finance was obviously heartbroken. I don't want to get into details about it. I sincerely hope no one ever set their eyes on it. I was probably 14 when I wrote it.

I've been building on the stories I've written and thought about since I was younger. I've read my early concepts when I was a kid and I either cringe or find it adorable.

I wrote a perfect Shakespearean sonnet in 9th grade. I succeded that with a story based on a coldplay song the next year.
All my high school writings were just wacky shit that seems inspired too heavily by Robert Anton Wilson, only written 5 years before I had ever heard of The Illuminatus Trilogy. I don't know whether this makes me a green-pill genius, or if it makes RAW a hack
I'm in my last year of high school and I'm starting on a novel. I'm sure it will be strange to reread it in a couple years
I used to write Star Fox fan fiction when I was 5-10 years old. Kill me.
My old stuff makes me cringe for sure, but I like to keep it around because at least I can look back and see how far I have come as a writer.
