Please tell us what you like so much about Pynchon.
Is it the clumsy, plodding prose?
"Doc prepared to be knocked on his ass but instead found a perimeter of clarity not too hard to stay inside of." -- Inherent Vice
Now the writing in I.V. is much, much improved compared to The Crying of Lot 49, but they both revolve around a conspiracy so mundane that when it's finally revealed I had to ask myself why the author bothered to write the book.
So why do you recommend reading Pynchon, if the prose and plot -- certainly the characterization -- are lacking? Groupthink?
>[Me] literally r/books the post
The only reddit I read is r/programming. I would've expected the prissy little libs on r/books to vomit in excitement over Pynchon.

Thanks, the URL made me smirk, but the first link I saw made me laugh out loud: "Why don't you use Node? You a moron or something?"
It's like /lit/ (pointless arguments, name-calling, etc.), but it's programming.
