Requesting some recommendations for core mysticism writings, esoteric if possible.
Thanks in advance.
Found this ( http://www.pdfarchive.info/pdf/S/Sc/Scholem_Gershom_Gerhard_-_On_the_kabbalah_and_its_symbolism.pdf ) if anyone is interested in some light Gravity's Raimbow prerequisite reading.

What do you actually mean by this?

Mostly anything listed in here ( https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Western_esotericism#Popular_culture ). I'm interested in reading the core text of any esoteric practise there is, or if there isn't a dominant scripture, then a recommended starting point.

Edit: the popular culture thing is irrelevant and I'm not sure why my Wikipedia hyperlink changed to that.

This [ http://www.cakravartin.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2006/08/Julius-Evola-Hermetic-Tradition.pdf ] looks pretty great.
Also I think I remember not too long ago somebody posted a chart detailing esoteric readings. I'll see if I can find it in the archives but if not - hopefully someone lurking can repost it. I think it had a lot to do with the occult as well.
The Works of Plato (Either read the 'main' texts, or all of them)
The Holy Bible (Either read the 'main' books, or all of them)
The Nag Hammadi Scriptures (read the Bible first)
The Enneads - Plotinus (Definitely read Plato first)
Corpus Hermeticum, and Asclepius - Hermes Trismegistus (Bible and Plato would help)
The Dhammapada
The Tao Te Ching (try reading two translations; it's not long)

Thanks. Incredibly ignorant question for all of you - why is Plato linked to esotericism?
>>7368322
Appreciated, that looks like what I was looking for. I found pic related in the archive in case it's of any interest to anyone else.

He's has a lot of mystical elements, and can be read as a mystic. His works can be very metaphorical and allegorical, and they act as a foundation block for later mystic thought.
'Phaedo' and 'Timaeus' are two more 'out-there' dialogues if you want to read about them.
I mainly listed him and the Bible as they definetely help with later mystic thought--you'll need Plato for Neo-Platonism, which is definitely quite mystic.
