Has Materialism defeated everything else? Are there any good refutations of it?

I don't know about refutations, but read up on Russian nihilism, it gives you a good idea of how materialism impacted political thought, if you're interested in it

Borgesian immaterialism, a la Tlön, of course.

You and your picture are creating a false dichotomy between materialism and dualism, while it should be a dichotomy between monism and dualism. Idealism is also a monism, for example, and just like materialism it can't be refuted because it's unfalsifiable.
I personally think "dude everything is matter" and "dude everything is ideas" are rather inconsequential. The "nature of everything" isn't descriptively useful since there is nothing to contrast it with. When you say "everything is blue", "blue" loses meaning because there is no differentiating between blue and not blue any more since blue encompasses everything, for example. Language only serves a functional purpose when it discriminates.
