To be honest I think being one of the boys is a bit simpler than being one of the girls, though as in both cases there is a lot of ingrained cultural behaviour to shake to be able to adopt the other mindset. I don't think anyone can ever definitively shake that, because if they could they would be able to do literally anything. Changing almost anything else about ones identity is easier than changing the way one thinks and the way one approaches others.
So I'm apprehensive, but also you take people on the qualities they display rather than the cock they have or have not. I don't want to live be around just men. In fact I've found people raised as women I can get along with much better than people raised as men.

Non-trans grill here, but it seems some ftms already answered, so I'll give my two cents.
Frankly, I think it's worrying. Trans is a mental illness, the reason trans people fuck up their body should be because nothing else has helped. Most of them are waaaay young, too, that shit should be decided after they're around 21-22 when their brains have finished growing. Less than 1% of the LGBT population is trans. I used to have issues with my body, and I eventually grew out of them.
If there weren't so many of them at such a young age, I would probably be able to take them more seriously. I don't mind calling you a guy if you're a guy, but since it's become so common, I suspect it's a trend, and it becomes a 'Red Flag, This Person Might Be Scary'. Which is great for keeping phsychos out, but sadly also keeps me from meeting people who might be cool bros. I do have friends who are transguys, they just take waaaaay longer for me to warm up to them.
I'd be fine with dating one, providing he'd lived for at least 5 years as a man over the age of 21.

I think society is more accepting of FTMs because manhood is earned though hardship, accomplishment, virtues, etc. Because a man's value in society is determined by his ability to defend and provide for his family. There are plenty of real men who other men don't see as "real men." So a woman can fairly easily be accepted into the male community as long as she shows she understands how we earn each others respect.
But womanhood is essentially about entitlement. A woman's value in society is her ability to carry children and it's determined by biology. So a man who wants to be a woman is seen as an imposter.

Bailey Jay is well-adjusted and generally fine as far as I know. The only problems that would hurt her suitability as a good representation of a trans person for the general public are the fact that she's a porn star and the fact that she's comfortable with her male genitalia. At the very least she passes (which is a big deal for credibility), which is more than the overwhelming majority of media-visible trans women can say.
