Secondary and tertiary structures are completely different from peptide bonds(primary). Your paper gave you the goods. Can't you just read?
Yeah, those side chains that interact with each other and those electrostatic interactions are much weaker than peptide bonds. Still doesn't change that peptide bonds don't break easy and your papers know it.
Here's a hint, those pretty little doted lines, they aren't the same thing as the covalent peptide bonds. Use the right terminology if you want to prove things.
