It's a post-apocalyptic light novel series that got a manga and anime adaptation. The plot isn't terribly deep. More of a low budget 1984, but the relationship between the two main characters is adorable and genuine in a way that a lot of anime and manga isn't. They feel more like real people than the average BL setup. Would highly recommend.
I liked the main kid from Hourou Musukou. And the entire cast of Bokura no Hentai is pretty great with one exception whose name I can't remember.

My favorites of all time. I have been rewatching random episodes here and there. I always thought it was funny that they presented it as yuri-bait so hard, then it ended up being a dark deconstruction on fairytales and religion and gender roles in general.
Next favorite lesbian couples would be Haruka and Michiru, because duh, and Kirika and Mireille from Noir.
