I think I'd prevent 14yo me from taking heroin, find that doc that proscribed hormones under the table, and do EMDR therapy on my young ass. I was on the right track. I just got onto the wrong track there for a bit with heroin. If I hadn't been hooked on heroin, I'd have gone to the NYC professional HS for 9th grade and up. My life would likely have been very different. Doing the EMDR would have relieved most of the need to heroin's damping effect.

I get that, I understand that solid answers are a lot more reassuring and meaningful than shades of grey, or the verbal equivalent of a shrug. The further down the rabbit hole that you go on orientation though (and hell, even in some sciences), the less cut and dry it gets. People are complicated ;~;
I guess the way I see it, human sexuality is dynamic, and changing. Even with that, it doesn't invalidate the experiences of people who don't experience that fluidity, it just makes them part of an even broader and more complex collage of human experience. I honestly think it's cool that the factors experienced by someone who is trans and going through transition can cause such a massive change in sexuality. It's definitely atypical.
Sorry if I've been a bit defensive, I just know myself and what my experiences are, and it feels sorta invalidating when I'm told that what I've experienced isn't real.
