I think my interest in music is based around the nuances of specific performers' stylings rather than emotional connection. When I listen to music, I tend to have thoughts like "wow, that bass tone sounds amazing." Or "I love the way this guitarist slurs his notes." Most of my favorite music would be described as "angry" by others, but I've never been a very angry person. It's just that how others express their anger clicks with me for some reason. Does any of this make sense?
