There's a difference between being an ugly woman, and being a hon though. A hon is the most repulsive creature on God's Earth. Everyone gets clocked sometimes, but if you aren't even on HRT (a lot of hons aren't), you don't deserve to be in the same category as women who actually pass.

oh, she was just part of Andy Warhol's factory. acted in some stuff but she was extremely bad at it. her transition is a bit inspiring since she did it all on her own and mostly passed, and having a tranny play a female in a movie is something we can't even get today so it was quite progressive.
but over all she was just part of Warhol's clique, nothing too important really but way better than whatever you picture with the word hon.
