So does the whole "all women turn into their mother" thing still hold true for transgender women?
I know most cisgender women tend to look like their mothers when they get older and I'm hoping that's the case for transgender women as well.
I've been dating my girlfriend (who is MtF transgender) for about a year and I just recently met her mother and we've been spending a bit of time hanging out with her and my girlfriend's siblings.
Basically, my girlfriend's mother is a MILF of the highest calibre. Thick hips, massive tits, well-defined legs and she looks good without make-up and a bra (she's fine with staying around the house without either on when we're there and I've seen her plenty of times just as she's gotten out of the shower and know when she's not when foundation/concealer). I think this is one of those "mileage may vary" type things. When did she start hormones? If it was young enough I'd say it's certainly possible for her to take on similar attributes. She can't get preggers though so that limits the amount of thickness I think.
When I lived as a guy I was the complete opposite to my mom's personality and appearance.
A year into hormones and I'm almost a carbon copy personality-wise, and our facial features are identical. Even my skin colour changed to be as pale as hers. The only difference is figure, she's chubby and has big boobs and I'm almost completely fat and underweight, but she was the same at my age (18 nearing 19).

Idk how much the "turn into your mother" thing holds true in general cis or trans, you can look at your closest relatives of your hormone profile for some ballpark guess of how you might turn out but it's no sure thing.
Personally though I visited my mother's childhood home awhile ago with my partner and they were a little weirded out by how much some pictures of my mother when she was younger look like me.

Well, I've always had the same facial features as my mother more or less, and they are becoming more prominently so. I am just as thin however I am a bit taller, and actually have bigger breasts than she ever did so far too, despite being only 9 month in that road, as she never reached A cup herself. So I am definitely pulling some traits from the women on my father's side as well, since they tend to be taller and more full-figured. But my Greek nose, my angular features and my long flowing straight hair are all from her.
Personality-wise I am almost nothing like her though. Or perhaps it is too hard to know, she was a pretty broken person already by the time I got to meet her truly.

as far as personality goes, speaking only for myself, i get a lot of my personality traits from her -- which makes sense considering she's probably the one person i've spent more time with in my life than anyone else. i got my weird sense of humor from her, i probably got a lot of my laziness from her, my bitchiness (which i noticed last year and since then i've made more of an effort to reign it in), and also a lot of my body issues (my mom taught me to base a lot of my self-worth on my appearance, which she would constantly nitpick), among other things. i hated her so much for years, and i hated everything about myself that reminded me of her, but i'm basically ok with it now because i know i'm also my own person and it's not like you can escape your own personality anyway. sooner or later you just have to accept yourself
