Albany, NY is pretty lgbt friendly. We have a nice parade every year, and there's a fairly large trans contingent. My roommate is trans and there are monthly meetings, and we have some pretty good resources. Problem is that the city is small and the endochineologists are few and far between.

Alaska isn't very tranny friendly but because you can carry firearms openly or concealed without a permit at the age of 21, it doesn't matter that its not tranny friendly.

I used to live in Austin and I hot beat up for being trans by the bouncer of straight bar that was sandwiched between two gay bars. Dozens of witnesses and cops never even pressed charges. I love Baltimore...lived here all my life had it as easy as possible on the lgbt sadness train. The city atleast admits to having poor people unlike DC or New York. People here work hard and play hard if you can do that the city is perfect for you.
