100% agree. Literally every single person at my current work place knows I'm gay, but they're never talking about it' and expect me to be the first to do so. But I'm afraid it'll make them uncomfortable... So it's cursed cycle...

I think one of the issues (especially in work/professional environments) is that in a lot of cases they could actually get in trouble for making a slightly off-color remark, so it makes everyone really paranoid.

Yeah, I guess, but it doesn't make it any easier... I feel really shitty at work. There're gays there, but we're constantly at some cold war with each other, no one is first to say anything gay... I donno, it's fucked up.
