I'm starting HRT, my endo prescribed me Lupron (one shot a month) and Spiro(50 mg a day), the Lupron will take like a week to get to my house but I was wondering if the Spiro will be enough in the meantime.

after getting on Lupron your T will be flatlined. . You might even need to add back some T to have normal bodily function (hair regrowth, skin, sex drive).
Whatever you do though, do not fall for the progesterone meme. At least until you're 5yrs on HRT. I self-medded my first 2.5 yrs and basically "froze" breast development at 17 ... I've been prescribed HRT for 4yrs now, and sublingual micronized oestradiol pills the whole time. Do whatever your endo says, kiddo

I'm so afraid this has happened to me. Currently self medding, everything's been going decent transitionwise with face, skin and stuff, but no real breast development yet. Just tiny buds with extremely puffy nipples.

It's terrible, get moved to progynova / estradiol valerate asap. You're taking pills created from very poorly treated pregnant mares' piss. However why it's bad is because of side effects.

At least I've got an estradiol script, but I'm really thinking of switching to the other endocrinologist in town that takes my insurance. They actually offered me an appointment within 5 days of when they called me back (just took them a while to call back). Wouldn't even bother with doctors if I could get blood tests in this state without a doctor's orders or had a car.
