Never mind the sample size; where was it drawn from? And what was their methodology for drawing it and analyzing the data? There are statistical methods that can yield significant results from a survey that size, but the participants damn well better be randomly selected from the pool of all Americans from that age group (not just students from one college, etc).

Survey comes from J Walter Thompson group which appers to have a bias toward futurism.

Another source says that respondants were asked their orientation on a 0-6 scale from "completely homosexual" to "completely heterosexual" Ignorant kids might not know the word "heterosexual"

This is really the most important thing regarding these findings at the moment. We need to know the how the samples were constructed and how the survey was implemented.
The $1,000 report should explicitly state how these were accomplished. Until we know this information we should not run wild with the findings (like all the queer news sites have been doing).
Having said this, I do find the results to be expected given the trajectory of these trends over the last decade. If you watch the video lecture I posted then you will see that such data is in fact to be expected of Gen Z.

There's a national survey of universities in the UK that puts the average (for uni students) at about 1 in 10 identifying as something other than straight.
My university had the highest score in the country- 1 in 5. Honestly sounds about right in my experience.
