It really is a phase for most of them. Teenagers go through lots of them in a short amount of time, and they are usually extreme because puberty makes them feel everything like twice as intense than the rest of the people.
It's not that modern progressive trends are homosexualizing or "queering" adolescents these days. It just happens to be the case that young people are finding a vocabulary to articulate desires which have always been present.
Bisexuality and other such things are fairly common, natural behaviors. Pure distilled heterosexuality is a myth.
16 year old boys have been masturbating together since the dawn of mankind. Most of them out it behind them and end up more or less straight, some keep at it their whole lives.
Just because these people have a means of understanding what people have always been doing isn't a bad thing.
Conservative sexual mores lead to neurosis and repression and you end up with a culture full of murderous psychos.

Don't be too worked up about it. You won't get this from /lgbt/ on 4chan but there's a lot of civically minded gays who wish they could help the younger generation of gays out. Just find a mentor.
At the very least, there will still be the normal amount or gay people in your generation even if many of them are just going through a phase.
