I know this is b8 but I didn't even know it was possible to "identify as male" before reading about it online like 5-6 years ago (not tumblr in my case tho). I thought that your gender was what they put on your birth certificate, end of story. I begrudgingly "identified" as a fucked-up female because I didn't think there were any other options.
How does someone transition at a young age? Would a lot of rely on the parents' consent?
